Sir Michael Parkinson, CBE (born 28 March, 1935) is an English broadcaster and journalist. He presented his interview programme, Parkinson, from 1971 to 1982 and from 1998 to 2007. Parkinson, or "Parky" as he is known, was born in Cudworth, near Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
